About

A free map of what careers actually cost and give, for people deciding what to study.

Who this is for

Mainly students in grades 10 to 12 — roughly 16 to 18 — who are about to choose subjects, courses or countries. A lot of them are in Saudi Arabia, and a lot of them will study abroad, so the site covers both.

If you are younger and reading ahead, you are welcome here. The writing does not talk down to you, which mostly means it will not pretend things are easier than they are.

Why it exists

A sixteen-year-old who has already locked onto one profession has usually made a mistake — not by picking wrong, but by picking early, from a menu of four options they happen to have heard of, and never looking sideways again.

Almost nobody at seventeen has heard of a perfusionist, a quantity surveyor, an actuary, a medical physicist or an industrial hygienist. All of those are real jobs that real people support families with. The problem is not that students choose badly. It is that they choose from a list that is far too short.

So the point of this site is not to match you to a career. It is to make the list longer, and to be honest enough about each item on it that you can tell which ones deserve a proper look.

How it talks to you

It tries to tell the truth rather than be encouraging. Every other careers resource is enthusiastic about everything, which makes all of them useless — if every path is rewarding and in demand, the words stop carrying information.

So where a career has a brutal median outcome, this site says so plainly, and then shows the adjacent versions of the same interest that pay properly. Where the training is fifteen years, it says fifteen years. Where a field is genuinely stable and pleasant, it says that too, because that is also true of more jobs than people expect.

Not everything runs through university

The most common failure of careers advice is routing every path through a degree. Licensed trades, apprenticeships, aviation, maritime and military routes are treated here as real careers with real economics, not as a consolation section at the back. Several of them out-earn mid-tier degrees, start paying years earlier, and finish without debt.

What is being sold

Nothing. There is no advertising, no sponsorship, no affiliate links, no premium tier, no email capture, no accounts, and no analytics of any kind — not a reduced amount of tracking, none.

Nothing you do here is recorded anywhere except your own browser. The careers you save are stored on your device and never sent anywhere, which is also why you can export them to a file if you want to move to another computer.

This is not a business. It exists because the thing it does was worth doing and nobody was doing it honestly.
